After many hours of trudging up through the snow to get over snow-covered mountain passes, we are usually rewarded by fast descents (for at least a short part of the way back down in to the next valley). We call it glissading. In this video, Garrett and one of our traveling companions, Liz, have a glissade race.
Track us and check out our updates as we begin our hike on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). On top of working towards the goal of completing the 2,650 mile trail, we also hope to raise that same amount in dollars for the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy. Check out our related links and our dedicated page through the Highlands Conservancy for more information and to donate.
I love this video! Terrific joy, plus hearing the sounds along with the sights makes checking in here with you that much more of a connection. Thank you Garrett and Maya! - Carrie
